A Boom Truck put simply is a vehicle that combines parts from a truck and a crane. The crane is positioned on the chassis of a truck which provides the stability to lift heavy items. Boom refers to the vehicle’s extendable arm which booms & extends vs a fixedor jib arm.
Sometimes referred to as lorry loaders they are a pretty common vehicle used in heavy industry & construction.
